“When Judas had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him right away.”, John 13:31-32 NET
• I am not sure what Jesus meant when He said that God would glorify Him right away, (or immediately). Does this have something to do with Jesus telling Satan through Judas to do what he was going to do quickly? Or maybe it meant that he was just about to go to through what he was about to go through!
“Children, I am still with you for a little while. You will look for me, and just as I said to the Jewish religious leaders, ‘Where I am going you cannot come,’ now I tell you the same. “I give you a new commandment – to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Everyone will know by this that you are my disciples – if you have love for one another.””, John 13:33-35 NET
• Jesus was specifically speaking to the apostles but Matthew 28:18-20 ties it to anyone who wants to be a disciple of Jesus:
“Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””, Matthew 28:18-20 NET
• “teaching them to obey everything I commanded you”
